You sure believe in taking the fight to Goliath or at least his image. I think in many cases it’s the appearance of the size of the opposition which puts consumers off taking them on rather than any real belief that corporation will always win. An appropriate example of this is your elegant quote "You have become emboldened by your power to put otherwise decent people into group-sleep. You think there is no one left awake to stand up to your criminal deceit, coercion, and extortion. Let's see." Indeed I feel that most of these companies do feel emboldened by having cowered or hypnotized the majority rather than having right or might on their side. Fantastic to hear that your efforts were rewarded by a victory (as yet to be confirmed by Direct TV’s actions) but it is a vivid demonstration of how a thinking individual can win if keeping his head and making a good plan to combat these people. Particularly by way of using the right and might of the many i.e. the public to stand up for ourselves and for the fair and open treatment which is so often lacking from both corporations and governments. On finals on the matter I must admit I inadvertently sent your suggested reply to Direct TV a day or so after you requested that no further copies be sent. However I can’t help but musing if many other mugs like me continually sent it now and for some time yet, albeit unnecessarily, it would give them (Direct TV) a headache of mammoth proportions to the extent that they would NEVER risk wronging somebody like this again. This would take away their final power of being able to solve everything with a magic wave of a wand and a return of a nominal amount, this of course being nothing to them even though it’s something they only do once, all other options of cajoling, threatening etc. the individual are exhausted.
